Description

Comprising: a clip brooch of floral design, set with cabochon, circular-cut, pear-shaped and oval sapphires, highlighted by brilliant-cut diamonds; and a pair of ear clips;  mounted in yellow gold and platinum, signed Bulgari.

Condition

Accompanied with a letter from Amanda Triossi, author and specialist on Bulgari stating that the floral brooch and pair of earclips / dress clips...were manufactured for and retailed by Bulgari in the mid 1960s. For further details, please refer to the letter. All signed BVLGARI. Metal tested as yellow gold and platinum. Faceted sapphires estimated to weigh approximately 8.00 - 10.00 carats in total, are on average of medium dark tone, blue to violetish blue colour and medium strong to strong saturation, there are typical inclusions with some surface reaching, some nicks, abrasions and minor chips, one pear-shaped sapphire with cleaved top; cabochon sapphires estimated to weigh approximately 60.00 - 70.00 carats in total, are on average very light to light tone, blue to violetish blue colour, and low saturation, there are typical inclusions with a few surface reaching, some nicks and a few abrasions and fine scratches; all sapphires examined under 10x magnification. Diamonds are bright and lively. Signs of minor wear to the metal commensurate with age. Overall in very good condition.
