Description

Each set with a pear-shaped alexandrite weighing 1.59 and 1.56 carats respectively, surrounded by marquise-, pear-shaped and brilliant-cut diamonds, mounted in platinum, post with hinged back fitting.

Condition

Accompanied by two Gübelin reports no. 0904156 and no. 0904145, both dated 11 May 2009, stating that the alexandrites are of Brazilian origin, display a pronounced colour-change. For further details, please refer to the report. Stamped PT950 for platinum, 1.59ct and 1.56ct referring to the weight of the alexandrites, and D3.43ct referring to the total weight of the diamonds. The alexandrites of medium dark to dark tone and medium strong saturation, display a distinct colour-change from bluish green in daylight to purple colour in incandescent light, eye-clean, under 10x magnification, there are a few very minor typical inclusions and a few fine scratches, but all are not visible to the naked eye. Marquise- and pear-shaped diamonds are on average E to F colour, VS clarity, as graded in the mounting. Brilliant-cut diamonds are bright and lively. Hardly any sign of wear to the metal, overall in excellent condition.
