Description

  • Largest jadeite cabochon approximately 24.72 x 8.05 x 2.88mm.
Designed as a whimsical snail set with highly translucent jadeite cabochons of brilliant emerald green colour, to the free-form opal shell, embellished with brilliant-cut diamonds and diamonds of brown tint, on a rose and brilliant-cut diamond leaf suspending a pear-shaped diamond weighing 0.30 carat, highlighted by enamel petiole and jadeite cabochon of matching material, mounted in 18 karat blackened gold.

Condition

Accompanied by Hong Kong Jade & Stone Laboratory certificate no. KJ 99637, dated 25 January 2019, stating that the jadeite is natural, known in the trade as "A Jade". Also accompanied by GIA dossier no. 1308181479, dated 13 August 2018, stating that the 0.30 carat diamond is F Colour, VVS1 Clarity. For further details, please refer to the certificate and dossier. Please note that the diamonds of brown tint have not been tested for natural colour origin. Stamped 750 for 18 karat blackened gold. Jadeite cabochons are highly translucent and of brilliant emerald green colour, under strong illumination, there are some clouds, some internal fissures, some nicks and pits, and a few scratches, one small cabochon with a minor surface reaching inclusions and a dark spot, but all are not noticeable when worn. Opal of baroque form, displays strong play-of-colour against the colourless background. Diamonds estimated to weigh approximately 11.00 - 13.00 carats in total; diamonds of brown tint on average are very light to light yellowish brown, brown and brownish yellow; near colourless diamonds are about F to G colour, mainly VS clarity; all as gauged and graded in the mount. Enamel is in very good condition. Signs of very minor wear to the metal. Overall in very good condition.
