Description

Comprising: a necklace, set with carved emeralds, sapphires and rubies, segmented by diamond-set openwork foliate panels, to the brilliant-cut diamond chain and clasp highlighted by a circular-cut ruby, length approximately 365mm; and a bracelet of matching design, length approximately 160mm; mounted in platinum and yellow gold, signed Cartier Paris, numbered, French assay marks and maker's marks for Cartier.

Condition

The necklace and bracelet, both signed Cartier Paris, necklace numbered C4053, bracelet numbered P9914. Both with French assay marks for platinum and yellow gold and maker's marks for Cartier. Emeralds are of medium green colour and medium light to medium strong saturation; sapphires are medium to medium dark blue and purplish blue colour, of medium strong to strong saturation; and rubies are medium to medium dark tone, purplish red to red colour and medium strong to strong saturation. Under 10x magnification, all gemstones with surface reaching inclusions, nicks, abrasions and some chips, a few gemstones with minor cavities, but all not too obvious when worn. Diamonds estimated to weigh approximately 18.00 - 22.00 carats in total, are on average G-H colour, VS clarity as gauged and graded in the mount. Signs of minor wear to the metal commensurate with age. Overall in very good condition.
