AN EXQUISITE PAIR OF SAPPHIRE AND DIAMOND PENDENT EARRINGS

Description

Each set with an oval sapphire weighing 4.67 and 4.67 carats, suspending a pear-shaped diamond weighing 5.01 and 5.01 carats respectively, decorated with brilliant-cut diamonds, mounted in 18 karat white gold, hook and hinged back fittings.

Condition

Accompanied by two Gübelin reports no. 19021114, dated 20 February 2019 and no. 15101143, dated 5 November 2015, each stating that the sapphire is of Burmese origin, with no indications of heating. Gübelin further stating that the tradecolour of one of the sapphire is royal blue. Also accompanied by two GIA reports no. 6305173214, dated 24 August 2018 and no. 2185870053, dated 13 November 2017, each stating that the diamond is D Colour, Internally Flawless; further accompanied by two diamond type classification reports stating that the diamonds are determined to be Type IIa. Please refer to the reports for further details. Inscribed 750 for 18 karat white gold, 4.67, 4.67, 5.01 and 5.01 referring to the weight of the sapphires and pear-shaped diamonds. Sapphires are well matched in colour, medium dark blue colour of strong saturation. Eye-clean, under 10x magnification, there are minor typical inclusions, some nicks and one with very minor colour zoning but all are not noticeable to the naked eye. Brilliant-cut diamonds are bright and lively. Hardly any sign of wear to the metal, overall in excellent condition.
