Description

Designed as a line of oval, cushion-shaped and step-cut sapphires weighing 47.64 carats in total, each within the brilliant-cut and marquise-shaped diamond surround, spaced by brilliant-cut diamonds, mounted in platinum, length approximately 410mm.

Condition

Accompanied by SSEF report no. 95208, stating that the sapphires weighing 3.19, 2.91, 2.37, 2.27, 2.27, 1.93, 1.83, 1.67, 1.65, 1.39, 1.37, 1.36, 1.21, 1.09, 1.03 and 0.88 carats are of Kashmir origin, with no indications of heating, the sapphires weighing 4.53, 3.10, 2.66, 2.13, 1.85, 1.20 and 0.83 carats are of Ceylon origin, with no indications of heating, and that the sapphire weighing 2.80 carats is of Ceylon origin, with indications of heating. Also accompanied by Gübelin report no. 17100020 / 1 to 24, stating that the sapphires weighing 3.19, 3.10, 2.91, 2.66, 2.37, 2.27, 2.13, 1.93, 1.86, 1.83, 1.67, 1.65, 1.39, 1.37, 1.36, 1.21, 1.20, 1.10 and 0.88 carats are of Kashmir origin, with no indications of heating, the sapphire weighing 4.53 carats is of Burmese origin, with no indications of heating, the sapphire weighing 0.83 carat is of Ceylon origin, with no indications of heating, the sapphire weighing 2.80 carats is of Ceylon origin, with indications of heating, and the sapphires weighing 1.03 and 2.27 carats with no indications of heating, origin not determinable. Sapphires are of medium light to medium dark tone, blue to violetish blue colour, and medium to medium strong saturation, under 10x magnification, there are typical inclusions with some surface reaching, small nicks, minor abrasions, a few tiny chips, and a few sapphire with minor colour zoning. Diamonds estimated to weigh approximately 23.00 - 25.00 carats in total, on average G to I colour, mainly VS clarity, as gauged and graded in the mount. Signs of minor wear to the metal. Overall in very good condition.
