Description

Set with an oval sapphire weighing 17.38 carats, to the single-cut diamond surround, gallery and hoop, mounted in platinum, size 6½.

Condition

Accompanied by AGL report no. 1098598, dated 1 February 2019, stating that the sapphire is of Ceylon origin, with no gemmological evidence of heat and no clarity enhancement. Please refer to the report for further details. Inscribed 950 for platinum, 17.38cts referring to the weight of the sapphire. Sapphire of medium violetish blue colour and medium saturation, under 10x magnification, there are minor typical inclusions, and a few nicks but hardly noticeable to the unaided eyes. Diamonds are bright and lively. Signs of minor wear to the metal, overall in very good condition.
