PAIR OF IMPERIAL TOPAZ, CONCH PEARL AND DIAMOND PENDENT EARRINGS

Description

Each suspending a pear-shaped imperial topaz weighing approximately 7.55 and 6.97 carats respectively, to a line surmount set with pink and orange conch pearls, decorated with brilliant-cut diamonds, mounted with 18 karat yellow and pink gold, Italian assay and maker's marks, post and hinged back fittings.

Accompanied by GCS report no. 79196-99, dated 22 January 2019, stating that the pink and orange topazes are natural, with a comment stating that orange to pink topazes with saturated shades are commonly described as "imperial topaz" in the trade. For further details, please refer to the report. Also accompanied by an authenticity certificate from Sarah Ho Signed SARAH HO. Inscribed 750 for 18 karat pink and yellow gold, with Italian assay and maker's marks. Also inscribed MADE IN ITALY. Imperial topazes are of medium tone and strong saturation, one with orangy pink graduating to pinkish orange colour, and the other with brownish orange colour, both are loupe-clean and with a few nicks, one topaz with a few fine scratches but not visible when worn. Conch pearls measuring approximately from 9.87 x 7.55 - 5.79 to 5.66 x 5.19 - 4.62mm, are of ovoid, round and button-shaped, light to medium tone, medium light to medium strong saturation, of orange, slightly pinkish orange, pink and orangy pink colour, under 10x magnification, there are distinct fine to coarse flame-like structures, some with minor natural inclusions and hairline scratches but not noticeable when worn. Measurements of conch pearls obtained insofar as mounting permits. Diamonds are bright and lively. Signs of minor wear to the metal, some minor area of coating are missing but not noticeable when worn. Overall very good condition.
