Description

Of foliate design, set with circular-cut rubies and emeralds, decorated with brilliant-cut diamonds, mounted in 18 karat yellow gold and platinum, can be worn as a pendant, signed Van Cleef & Arpels, numbered, French maker's marks. 

Condition

Signed VAN CLEEF & ARPELS, numbered 36940, stamped MADE IN FRANCE, with French maker's marks indicating maker as Péry et Cie and metal as 18 karat gold and platinum. Rubies estimated to weigh approximately 6.00 - 6.50 carats in total, are on average medium to medium dark tone, pinkish to purplish red colour and of medium to medium strong saturation; emeralds estimated to weigh approximately 2.00 - 2.50 carats in total, are on average medium tone, slightly yellowish green to green colour and medium to medium light saturation; under 10x magnification, both rubies and emeralds with typical inclusions and some are surface reaching, some nicks and abrasions, and a few chips. Diamonds estimated to weigh approximately 7.50 - 8.50 carats in total are bright and lively. All estimated weight as gauged in the mounting. Signs of normal wear to the metal commensurate with age, overall in very good condition.
