The ring, centring upon a brilliant-cut diamond, to the pavè-set diamond bombè half hoop with cabochon sapphire details, signed Mtd Cartier London, size 6; and a pair of earrings of similar design, each centring upon an old European-cut diamonds, accented with circular-cut sapphires, signed Cartier London, post and hinged back fittings; all mounted in 18 karat yellow gold, all numbered, British assay marks and maker's marks for Jacques Cartier.
Condition
Ring: Inscribed 750 and stamped with 1995 London assay marks for 18 karat yellow gold, signed Mtd Cartier London, numbered HLS00778, and with maker's mark for Jacques Cartier. Centre diamond estimated to weigh approximately 0.65 carat are about F to G colour, VS clarity, as gauged and graded in the mount. Smaller diamonds are bright and lively. Cabochon sapphires of medium dark tone, blue to violetish blue colour and medium strong to strong saturation, under 10x magnification there are typical inclusions and some are surface reaching, some nicks and tiny chips but not noticeable to the naked eye. Signs of normal wear to the metal commensurate with age, with scratches, some notches and indented spots. Overall in fair condition. Earrings: Inscribed 750 and stamped with 1996 London assay marks for 18 karat yellow gold, signed Cartier London, numbered HLS01060, and with maker's mark for Jacques Cartier. Centre diamonds estimated to weigh approximately 1.60 carats in total, L to M colour, SI clarity, as gauged and graded in the mount. Smaller diamonds are bright and lively. Sapphires are of medium dark blue to violetish blue colour and medium to strong saturation, under 10x magnification, there are typical inclusions with some surface reaching, with abrasions, some nicks and tiny chips. Signs of normal wear to the metal commensurate with age, and with evidence of minor discolouration on the solder points. Overall in good condition.
