Condition
The canvas is original. The canvas undulates slightly in places. There are a small number of isolated instances of very fine lines of craquelure, only visible upon close inspection. There are a few instances of studio detritus and surface matter, and light surface dirt in places. This excepting, the work appears in excellent overall condition. Inspection under ultraviolet light is rendered very difficult by the nature of the Artist's materials but there are no obvious signs of fluorescence or retouching. The painting is held in a painted wooden frame. Please telephone the department on +44 (0) 207 293 6424 if you have any questions regarding the present work.
