  • Untitled

  • 37.5 by 45.5cm.; 14¾ by 18in.

Provenance

Barnaloft, St Ives, where acquired by the present owner, 24th May 1999

Condition

The canvas appears original. There is very slight abrasion at the extreme edges of the upper left and lower right corners. The canvas undulates slightly in places. There are one or two very faint scuffs, only visible upon close inspection. There are one or two instances of studio detritus and surface matter, and light surface dust. This excepting, the work appears in excellent overall condition. Inspection under ultraviolet light is rendered difficult by a thick layer of varnish but there are no obvious signs of fluorescence or retouching. The work is floated in a limed box frame.
