Twelve gelatin silver prints. Two portraits of Susan and John Paine signed in pencil in the margin, ten unsigned portraits of Francis Bacon. All Francis Bacon’s portraits framed.

Condition

Susan and John Paine portraits: These prints are in overall extremely good vintage condition. Corners slightly bumped, away from image. A couple of indentation marks across prints only visible under raking light. Francis Bacon: These prints are in very good vintage condition. Each taped to mount with masking tape on the verso. Each prints with various handling marks and very fine scratches which are mostly visible under raking light. A few prints with additional issues such as a water stain, a crease and pressure lines. A very interesting group.
