Condition
The sheet is adhered to the mount with two strips of adhesive tape along the upper edge. The left edge has been slightly unevenly torn, not visible in the present mount. The sheet udulates slightly in keeping with the Artist's working methods and materials. There are a few instances of areas of very fine lines of craquelure to the paint, including in the lower left corner and to the sitter's proper left shoulder, with the further areas largely only visible upon close inspection. There is light surface dirt and a small number of tiny accretions or surface matter. This excepting, the work appears in very good overall condition. The work is window mounted and held behind glass in a painted wooden frame. Please telephone the department on +44 (0) 207 293 6424 if you have any questions regarding the present work.
