2 volumes in-8 (210 x 120 mm). Demi-veau blond, dos orné (Reliure de l’époque).Rousseurs. Édition originale. Envoi autographe signé à l'imprimeur Le Normant fils - Jean-Baptiste-Victor Lenormand - fils de l'éditeur des premiers textes de Chateaubriand : "Offert par l’auteur à monsieur Le Normant. Chateaubriand". Fils de l'imprimeur-libraire parisien Jean-Baptiste-Étienne-Élie Lenormand (1765-1832), dit "Le Normant père", Jean-Baptiste-Victor est le beau-frère du libraire parisien Nicolas Pichard. Editeur du "Conservateur" (oct. 1818 - mars 1820), il devient imprimeur le 11 juin 1823, à la suite de son père. Comme lui, il imprime le "Journal des débats". Au moment des Trois Glorieuses (27-29 juillet 1830), il doit renvoyer ses ouvriers, faute d'activité. En décembre 1836, il est nommé membre de la commission des imprimeurs qui a pour tâche de lutter contre la contrefaçon belge. Il exerce jusqu'en 1876 et meurt à Paris en décembre 1878.Son père, ami et éditeur de Chateaubriand, publia l'édition illustrée d'Atala en 1805, celle du Génie du christianisme en 1816, Les Martyrs en 1810, l'Itinéraire de Paris à Jerusalem en 1811, etc.Provenance : Louis Barthou (ex-libris, III, 1936, n° 1108) – Léon Noel (ex-libris).
