Description

The reeded rectangular case decorated at the front with a pierced and engraved design of birds and butterflies amongst flowering vines, accented with collet-set circular-cut sapphires, to a concealed push piece, opening to reveal a hinged mirror, a powder compartment, two further lidded compartments and two lipstick holders, measuring approximately 130 x 84 x 20mm, signed Boucheron, numbered, French assay marks for silver and maker's marks, gross weight 505.95 grams, paper box signed Boucheron.

Condition

Signed BOUCHERON PARIS, numbered B N°875012, 80 447. French assay marks for silver and maker's marks throughout. All hinges and lids in good working order, closing securely. Push piece in good working order. Lipstick holders intact, one with internal holder for lipstick, one without. Comb deficient. Powder puff deficient. Mirror mostly in good condition, with areas of mild discolouration. Scratches to metal consistent with wear, some more noticeable scratches around pushpiece, some patches of minor discolouration to metal. Two dents visible. In good condition, commensurate with age. Gross weight 505.95 grams.
