Condition

It has not been possible to see the work entirely unframed. The canvas is not lined. There are pinholes at the corners. Examination under UV light reveals a few small dots of retouching to the spire of the cathedrale and a few tiny dots of retouching to the upper left corner. The canvas is slightly undulating. The impasto is nice and well preserved. There are a few hairline lines of stable craquelure in the sky. There is some minor frame rubbing along the extreme edges. This work is in overall very good condition. Please note that colours are a bit more vivid than in the catalogue illustration.
