Condition

The canvas is lined. There is a thin line (approx. 0.5 wide) of light discolouration along the upper edge, associated with rubbing and small canvas losses, probably due to the stretcher being changed. There is a varnish preventing UV light from fully penetrating, however examination under UV light appears to reveal no evidence of retouching. There are a few tiny paint losses towards the lower left corner (approx. 5 cm from left edge and 2.5 cm from upper edge) and to the centre of the right and lower edges. This work is in overall good condition.
