Condition

Panel is sound. There is a milky varnish preventing UV light from fully penetrating, however examination under UV light appears to reveal spots, small lines and dots of retouching in places, some of which visible to the naked eye, most predominately towards the extreme edges and away from the centre of the composition. There are a few lines of stable craquelure, notably to the upper part of the composition, and a few lines running horizontally towards the centre of the composition, probably relating to the panel. This work is in overall good condition.
