Condition

To the naked eye: The canvas, unlined, has a painted reverse. The stretching of the canvas is good, but we notice some light warps, maybe linked to the stretcher. The paint layer reveals a few paint losses principally along the edges. There are no liftings. Under the UV light: The UV light reveals numerous fluorescent areas, notably both women’s faces and the dog’s fur, some other areas dispersed on the canvas as well, but they do not seem to correspond to any repaint or restoration. The frame is under glass.
