The canvas is not lined and examination under UV light reveals no signs of retouching. There is a small puncture to the centre of the canvas with associated paint loss. There are some paint losses to the left part of the upper edge, scattered along the lower edge and towards the centre of the right edge. There is some paint shrinkage to the deep purple pigments along the right edge, as well as to the deep green of the melon and the maroon colours of the figs on the far left, as well as to the dark blue pigment of the bouquet. There is a faint stretcher bar mark along the upper edge, visible only in raked light. There are some scattered fine lines of craquelure in places. The colours are fresh and this work is in overall good condition. "In response to your inquiry, we are pleased to provide you with a general report of the condition of the property described above.
