Condition
The canvas is lined. Examination under UV light reveals spots and lines of retouching along the lower edge, a spot just above the watermelon, and an area to the background in the upper right. There is a paint loss to the green fruit of the composition and there are fine lines of stable craquelure to the more thickly applied pigments. There is a tiny scratch to the skin of the watermelon, resulting in minor paint loss. This work is in overall good condition.
