Condition

This work is in overall good condition. The canvas is strip lined. Examination under UV light reveals some small spots of retouching in places: notably to two fine vertical lines of craquelure near the centre of the upper edge, in the sea within the bay, and in the cliff edge of the lower right quadrant. There are a few further fine lines of craquelure which have not been consolidated but appear stable. There are a few further areas of fluorescence visible under UV light in the grass of the cliff top at centre right, which do not appear to correspond to any restoration.
