The canvas is not lined. Examination under UV light reveals no signs of retouching. There are horizontal and vertical stretcher-bar marks visible to the left of centre and towards the centre of the upper edge. There are a few small scattered areas of fine craquelure, notably in the cream and grey elements of the upper left quadrant and in the pale green element at the centre of the left edge. There is a surface scratch (approximately 6cm. long) with associated spots of paint loss at the centre of the lower edge. There are two further small nicks to the paint surface towards the lower left corner and a fine line of frame abrasion running parallel to the right edge which is not visible when framed. This work is in good overall condition and would benefit from a light clean.
