The ceramic is sound. There is a curved crack to the plate measuring 7 inches in length, starting from the upper left edge and running down the left side. There is a crack to the plate measuring 6 inches in length, running from the lower right edge up along the right side. In the center of the plate there are several surface cracks. All these aforementioned cracks appear inherent to the firing process and have been repaired in places on the reverse. There is a web of hairline crazing throughout the glaze.
