The canvas is unlined. All four edges have been covered with tape. There is some remaining residue where the tape is missing along the edges. The colors are bright and fresh. There is slight pigment shrinkage to the blue pigments of the skirt of one of the figures in center. There is a slight undulation to the canvas toward the upper right corner. There are pindot losses to the pigment in the upper right corner. There is a loss measuring one inch in length above the red smoke stack toward upper right. Under UV inspection, there are strokes of inpainting visible in the upper right quadrant, to address aforementioned losses. There are three strokes of inpainting in the blue pigments of the sky. There are a few other small strokes of inapinting along the right half of the lower edge. The work is in good condition.
