Condition

The canvas is unlined. There is some frame abrasion around the perimeter with a few associated losses most notably in the upper right corner. Some very slight undulation in the lower left corner of the canvas. There are some scattered fine lines of craquelure. Under UV light, there are two pindot strokes of inpainting in the blue pigments in the water. There are also a couple of pindot strokes of inpainting in the blue pigments in the sky, and one pindot just above the rightmost arch of the bridge. There is a line of inpainting measuring approx. 1.5 inch extending from the buildings in the upper right quadrant, which corresponds to what appears to be a repaired tear under raking light.
