Condition
The canvas is not lined. The surface is richly textured and the impasto is well-preserved. There is slight undulation throughout the canvas. There is a 1/2 inch long loss to the right edge, approximately 3 inches from the bottom. There are a couple of nailhead sized losses to the center of the left edge, as well as a couple of minor pindot losses along the top edge. There is pigment shrinkage to the pigments of the purple flower in the upper left quadrant. There is some additional pigment shrinkage to the dark green pigments throughout. Under UV light: there are a few minor strokes along the bottom edge, likely to address frame abrasion. Some original pigments fluoresce. The work is in good condition.
