Condition
The work is in very good condition. The canvas has not been lined. The surface is richly textured and the impasto is well preserved. There are a few scattered hairline lines of craquelure particularly in the white pigments in the background. There are pinholes in the canvas at the upper right and upper left corners, and in the center right and center left of the composition. The surface is slightly dirty. Under UV light, there is an uneven layer of varnish. Two one inch areas of inpainting are present at the lower right corner.
