Catalogue Note

Longines introduced the caliber 13ZN in 1936, and the movement is amongst the most sought after chronograph movements of all time. The present lot is a rare configuration of the caliber, with the center arbor not only carrying the chronograph seconds hand, but also a red minute counter. The subsidiary dial at 3, normally reserved for the minute-counter, reads the elapse hours. It is believed that only a few hundred of these were produced in several references through the 1940s.
