Catalogue Note

The pink gold tourbillon carriage on the present example is mounted between sapphire crystals, giving the illusion that the cage is suspended or floating, seemingly unconnected to the movement. This model is named for the date on which Abraham Louis Breguet patented the tourbillon, the 26th of June 1801. Messidor refers to the revolutionary month, known as June on the traditional Gregorian calendar.

This model was launched by Breguet at the Basel Fair in 2007
