Catalogue Note

Launched in 2007, the PAM00276 features an unassuming dual time zone sandwich dial and surprisingly light weight stainless steel case.  The sapphire display back reveals an impressive six day power reserve indicator. Even more striking, we are introduced to the firm's first lateral tourbillon caliber, P.2005. The balance rotates 360 degrees on a lateral axis rather creating a three dimensional affect within the case. The tourbillon completes a full revolution every 30 seconds, moving at twice the speed of a standard one-minute tourbillon. This is indicated by a rotating blue dot on the subsidiary seconds dial.

The present lot is number 53 from a limited series of 100 pieces. In 2008, Panerai replaced this model with PAM 306, which featured a brown dial.
