Catalogue Note

The legacy of Audemars Piguet’s perpetual calendar wristwatch began in 1955 when they had produced the world’s first ever perpetual calendar wristwatch with the essential leap year indication. However, it was not until 1984 when Audemars Piguet had finally combined its renowned perpetual calendar movement with its highly popular Royal Oak collection. This transition and introduction of the Royal Oak self-winding perpetual calendar collection has led great success to Audemars Piguet’s branding until today. Continuing its tradition, the present watch is a new version of the Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar in stainless steel. Made for a Hong Kong retailer, Unique Timepieces, the present watch is a first of its kind as it stands out not only with an indifferent majestic Grande Tapisserie green dial, but also featuring a new self-winding caliber 5134 that enhances the efficiency and reliability of the watch.

First time ever to be in auction, highly popular and in great demand, the present Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar is easily one of the greatest timepieces Audemars Piguet had designed in recent years. Offered in like new condition, the present watch is complete with all original accessories.
