Condition

The movement is in working condition at the time of cataloguing. The annual calendar, moon phases and 24 hour indication functions are working properly. The bezel and band with extremely minor signs of wear at places and is only visible with a strong loupe. The case back with minor signs of wear toward the bottom right corner, otherwise the watch is in excellent overall condition. The buckle is in excellent overall condition. Please note that the movement has not been tested for the accuracy of time and may need a service at the buyer's expense. Sotheby's does not guarantee the future working of the movement and we do not guarantee the authenticity of any individual component parts since subsequent repairs and restoration work may have resulted in the replacement of original parts. You are advised that watch straps or bands made of materials derived from endangered or otherwise protected species (i.e. alligator or crocodile) are not sold with the watch and we reserve the right to remove these straps or bands prior to shipping. Catalogue Note

The reference 5135 was launched in 2004, however the platinum version of it such as the present watch wasn't made available until 2006. With a beautiful diamond-set indexes at 3 o’clock and 9 o’clock, Patek Philippe had discreetly differentiated the platinum version of this reference versus its rest. With a grey Patek Philippe alligator strap stylishly matching its dial, the present watch is offered in excellent condition.
