Condition

The movement is in working condition at the time of cataloguing. The case with minor signs of wear, a tiny ding at 4 o'clock on the bezel. The case is very crisp with nice sharp lines. The case back with surface wear. Otherwise it is in very good condition overall. Please note that the movement has not been tested for the accuracy of time and may need a service at the buyer's expense. Sotheby's does not guarantee the future working of the movement and we do not guarantee the authenticity of any individual component parts since subsequent repairs and restoration work may have resulted in the replacement of original parts. Catalogue Note

The present watch features an ultra-thin case with only 5 mm in thickness, a perfect dress watch for gentlemen. The slim elongated indexes and hands contrast beautifully against the untouched opaline dial, a classic example of vintage gentlemen's' Calatrava.
