The movement is in working condition at the time of cataloguing. The case with minor signs of polishing, the band with some light surface wear. The bracelet in good condition, minor surface scuffs and scratches. Dial in very good condition and the registers have turned a tropical brown color. The watch is overall in very attractive condition. Please note that the movement has not been tested for the accuracy of time and may need a service at the buyer's expense. The Rolex Cosmograph Daytona is now produced entirely in-house, but that wasn't always the case. Before the brand developed the calibre 4130, it outsourced the Daytona movement from Zenith. The reference 16520 is among the last of the Daytonas to run on a Zenith El Primero movement and is a highly sought-after collector's item. This particular example is distinguished from its peers by the aged tropical subsidiaries, making this watch unique in its own right and has been retained in very crisp and original condition.
