Catalogue Note

The reference 6262, as well as its cousin 6264, had the shortest production period and were available only for approximately two years, between the very end of the 1960's and 1972.

The reference 6262 can be considered as the bridge between the early and the late vintage Rolex Daytona models. Indeed, it combines the pump pushers such as the 6239, the first Daytona, and the 727 Valjoux calibre, the final evolution of the movement which was also housed in the 6263 and 6265 models.

The present watch is in wonderful condition, retaining strong proportions and complimented further by a crisp, clean bezel and dial complete with all lume plots that react great under UV light.

Consigned by the original owner, this example is in exceptional original condition, with lovely pumpkin lume plots that are all matching in size and is fresh to the market. The present watch is a terrific example.
