Catalogue Note

The present watch exhibits an interesting form of dial. As may be observed in several other examples from this period, the numerals and tracks were often filled with hard enamel. However, in this instance, the legibility of the dial is maintained by the contrast created by the mirrored chapter rings and matte engravings.  The bezel, band, back and bow are entirely chased. The case back specifically features scrolling foliate and acorns, inhabited by two winged lions. There is a monogram WRC within a central cartouche for the former owner Willam R Chedsey.

Based on the engraving to the cuvette one may assume that the watch was made for and retailed by Denver based jeweller Bohm-Allen & Co.
