Condition

The movement is in working condition at the time of cataloguing. The perpetual calendar and split second chronograph functions are working properly. The watch is in almost like new condition. The folding clasp with minor surface wear. Please note that the movement has not been tested for the accuracy of time and may need a service at the buyer's expense. Sotheby's does not guarantee the future working of the movement and we do not guarantee the authenticity of any individual component parts since subsequent repairs and restoration work may have resulted in the replacement of original parts. You are advised that watch straps or bands made of materials derived from endangered or otherwise protected species (i.e. alligator or crocodile) are not sold with the watch and we reserve the right to remove these straps or bands prior to shipping. Exemplifying the true art of watchmaking, the reference 5004 is the ultimate example of timeless beauty and understated horology. The production of reference 5004 commenced in 1995 and remained in production until 2009. Composed of 407 parts, the reference is powered by caliber CHR 27-70Q that ingeniously combine a split second chronograph and perpetual calendar. The case measures 36.5 mm in diameter, retaining a somewhat vintage appeal and proportion due to the fluted lugs.
