Catalogue Note

The present lot is a reference 105.003-65 which became famous as the watch worn by astronaut Edward White during the 1965 Gemini IV mission when he became the first astronaut to space walk. The watch has since then received the nickname Ed White to celebrate this historical moment.

Powered by the last generation of cal. 321, this charming example is fitted with its correct 'dot over ninety' bezel (DON) from the first series (1961-1970), as indicated by the dot next to the base of the 70 mark.
