Condition

The movement is in working condition at the time of cataloguing. The date, 24 hours indication and chronograph functions are working properly. The case with minor signs of surface wear, a tiny ding at 8 o'clock, visible with the naked eye. The case back with scuff marks from the bracelet. The dial is in good condition, with minor loss to the luminous hour markers and hands. The luminous material has some dirt. The bracelet with minor signs of surface wear, hardly visible with the naked eyes. The folding clasp with minor signs of wear, hardly visible with the naked eyes. Otherwise it is in very good condition. Please note that the movement has not been tested for the accuracy of time and may need a service at the buyer's expense. Sotheby's does not guarantee the future working of the movement and we do not guarantee the authenticity of any individual component parts since subsequent repairs and restoration work may have resulted in the replacement of original parts. The Speedmaster 125 was created in 1973 by Omega to celebrate the brand's 125th year's anniversary. This model is the world's first-ever automatic chronograph wristwatch to receive an Official Chronometer Certificate, which was a groundbreaking achievement at the time.
