Condition

The movement is in working condition at the time of cataloguing. The date function is working properly. The watch is in excellent overall condition with only extremely minor signs of wear to the case. Please note that the movement has not been tested for the accuracy of time and may need a service at the buyer's expense. Sotheby's does not guarantee the future working of the movement and we do not guarantee the authenticity of any individual component parts since subsequent repairs and restoration work may have resulted in the replacement of original parts. Catalogue Note

Embellished with a diamond-set indexes and bezel, the present watch is furthermore offered in close to like new condition. Wadah Titian Harapan (‘WADAH’) is an international Jakarta-based foundation established "From women, By the community, For all." Founded in 2008, WADAH hopes to specifically address the special needs of women as they participate in social, educational, community and cultural activities, reviving traditional arts and supporting local artisan communities to ensure sustainability of their arts and crafts. WADAH, in the Indonesian language, refers literally to a “place” but WADAH Titian Harapan embraces a broader meaning that encompasses not only the sense and spirit of place, but the home and the community where one belongs. Various other affiliated organizations in the Philippines, Malaysia and India have been initiated since.

On July 26, 2016, Wadah Titian Harapan Foundation was granted a Special Consultative Status by United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC).
