Catalogue Note

Introduced to the market in 2011, the present watch belongs to a set of 4 Calatrava wristwatches with cloisonné enamel dials named, "Pheonix". Reference 5077P-053 incorporates a gold ribbon of approximately 0.07 mm thickness and a length of 51 cm. Furthermore the creation of the dial requires from 10 to 12 firings with a combination of 10 enamel colors. For such a magnificent dial to be completed it requires a master enameler and engraver to dedicate a total of 4 to 5 days. For thousands of years, the Pheonix has been one of the most powerful symbols in the world and it has fascinated people from many different cultures around the globe.
The Phoenix is a Mythical immortal bird which comes back to life from its ashes. It is associated with the sun and symbolises the revival, resurrection and the success.
