Condition

The movement is in working condition at the time of cataloguing. The dial is in attractive and original condition. The signature is very well defined and nicely raised. There is a light spot between 5 and 6 o'clock, and another one between 3 and 4 o'clock and some very minor tarnishing. The case is in extremely good condition which is very sharp to the touch. The bezel is nice and flat. The hallmarks under the lugs are crisp. Overall it is a very nice example of this iconic reference. Please note that the movement has not been tested for the accuracy of time and may need a service at the buyer's expense. Sotheby's does not guarantee the future working of the movement and we do not guarantee the authenticity of any individual component parts since subsequent repairs and restoration work may have resulted in the replacement of original parts. Catalogue Note

This extremely attractive example of reference 570 is preserved in excellent original condition. Cased in white gold case and fitted with silvered dial, the present watch impresses with the crisp case and well defined lugs and bezel. In addition the signature on the dial being nicely raised and the case retain its original condition.
