Condition

The movement is in working condition at the time of cataloguing. The date function is working properly. The dial is in very good overall condition. The diamond bezel is intact. The case with only minor polishing. The bracelet with only light surface wear and very minor signs of polishing. The case back with crisp hallmarks that can be seen without a loupe. Overall in very good condition. Please note that the movement has not been tested for the accuracy of time and may need a service at the buyer's expense. Sotheby's does not guarantee the future working of the movement and we do not guarantee the authenticity of any individual component parts since subsequent repairs and restoration work may have resulted in the replacement of original parts. Catalogue Note

The Nautilus “Jumbo” was in production from 1976 to approximately 1998. This reference is advertised as one of most expensive sports watches in the market. With many variations made, the present variant is cased in yellow gold and set with 112 diamonds weighing approximately 1.48 carats. The watch is furthermore retained in excellent overall condition.
