Catalogue Note

To mark the 175th anniversary of Patek Philippe, the manufacturer released a grand collection of watches to mark this important celebration. Patek Philippe dedicated a small batch of watches for their Rare Handcrafts distibution. The present watch is one such limited edition and is retained in excellent overall condition and was inspired by the paintings in the personal collection of Mr. Philippe Stern.

To achieve such spectacular results of such finely detailed cloisonné work, Patek Philippe incorporated a total of three different enamel finishes for the selection of watches: opaque, transparent and opalescent to the dial. Furthermore, master enamelers used a total of approximately 20 different colours and a total length of 40 to 70 cm of gold wire to build their masterpieces.

Originally sold as a set of four limited edition wristwatches depicting the famous traditional Lake Geneva barques, the present watch highlights the master skills the artists posses and how beautiful the finished product can be.
