Catalogue Note

There are many fine attributes to the present openface perpetual calendar pocket watch. The first is the digital calendar work or now commonly known as the 'American calendar display'. The case, with very crisp and sharp lines, is very reminiscent of the perpetual calendar wristwatches made by Patek Philippe at the time, most notably the perpetual calendar references 3448 and 3450. This reference and similar watches made during this period are now popular with wristwatch collectors due to the very similar case designs. The watch has furthermore been retained in excellent condition with sharp gold marks either side of the bow.
