Catalogue Note

This highly unusual watch was originally a gift from wife to husband for Christmas in 1911. The case is very intricately engraved in high relief, depicting a chimera to the centre of the case back. This creature, known as a chimera, which has a head of a lion and wings of an eagle and is often associated with Greek mythology. The dial further distinguishes this watch with its mirrored two-tone finish that is enhanced with Breguet numerals and has a very crisp engine-turned centre.
