Catalogue Note

The present three-bridge tourbillon manufactured by Girard-Perregaux is a very well made watch. The long pivoted detent escapement was made by Ernest Guinand and can be distinguished by typical A-shaped frame. Guinand made tourbillon carriages for the greatest maker of the time. The pivoted detent escapement helped avoid errors of rate with change of position of the watch. The heavy case is finely engraved and all hinges are nice and tight. The engraving is extremely crisp further adding a sign of quality to this collectors watch.
