Catalogue Note

A. Lange & Söhne first patented the use of honey gold in 2010 and was greeted with great enthusiasm from the market. Reserved for the firms most exclusive timepieces, the metal is more resilient to damage than other precious metals and the finish has a very unique look further highlighting Lange’s more complicated watches. Honey gold is now part of the brands DNA and genetic code and will forever be associated with A. Lange & Söhne. The following three lots pay tribute to this new metal and will always be reserved for A. Lange & Söhne.

Zeitwerk is the very first mechanical wristwatch to feature a digital time display. The movement incorporates a constant force escapement, which is used to generate the switching impulse for the jumping hour and minute display. Demonstrating A. Lange & Söhne's commitment to the highest standards of horology, the Zetiwerk was awarded the L'Aiguille d'Or Grand Prize at the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève in 2009.

Debuted in 2017 at the SIHH, the present watch is cased in honey gold and produced in a limited edition of 100 pieces only.
